Some of the things that are key to San Quintin, Mexico is that this beach is approximately 14 miles long with the side shore wind centered at the hotel.

The waves can vary but they are for the most part knee to waist high at best.  The winds are generally 14 to 20mph about 20 to 25 days a month starting in Feb and all the way to Oct. The other months it can be the same, but only 12 to 20 days a month. 

The drive over the border is only 3 1/2 to 4 hr. with minor surface traffic in Ensenada to deal with. Many people that stay are also a short distance from San Carlos if they want to continue to more advanced Kiteboarding conditions.
